BlackHole.org aims to make its explanations, assumptions, and supporting evidence clear enough to check and use.
Scientific checks
Section titled “Scientific checks”- Cite authoritative sources near the claims they support, with precise locations where useful.
- State assumptions, conventions, and limits; develop the reasoning instead of relying on citations alone.
- Check consequential equations through independent derivations, dimensions, limiting cases, or numerical comparisons.
- Make computations reproducible and distinguish numerical evidence from proof. Identify data, methods, uncertainties, and evidence dates for observational and research claims.
- Inspect formulas, figures, navigation, and accessibility in the rendered pages.
AI assistance and review
Section titled “AI assistance and review”AI assists with research, writing, calculations, coding, and checks under the site editor’s direction. AI-assisted work and automated validation are not independent human peer review. A successful technical check does not establish scientific correctness or imply that every page has received specialist review.
Review applies to the version and scope examined. Established results, conditional conclusions, and open questions should remain distinguishable.
Corrections
Section titled “Corrections”Material errors require checking the affected explanation and its dependent examples, figures, data, and software. See Editions and Corrections to report an error or inspect recorded changes.
